Düsseldorf, 17.12.2025. At the end of October, Vodafone announced the planned acquisition of Skaylink, a leading all-round provider of cloud service solutions in Germany and Europe. On 16 December 2025, following regulatory approvals, the transaction was successfully completed. This will make Skaylink – with more than 500 cloud and security experts – part of Vodafone. The acquisition is another milestone in the strategic realignment in the business customer segment, initiated by Hagen Rickmann, Managing Director for Business Customers at Vodafone in European markets and Germany. Vodafone is focusing specifically on future technologies in order to strengthen its business customer segment in the coming years.

Acquisition completed
On October 30, 2025, Vodafone announced the planned acquisition of the cloud and security provider Skaylink. The transaction was successfully closed on December 16, 2025, following regulatory review and approval. Vodafone acquired Skaylink primarily from funds managed by Waterland. The total consideration from Vodafone is 175 million euros. Skaylink will become part of Vodafone, but will remain active in the market under the previous brand name. The integration is starting now, and Vodafone customers can benefit from the joint solution offering immediately.
Strategic investment in future technologies
The acquisition is another milestone in the strategic realignment in the business customer segment, initiated by Hagen Rickmann, Managing Director for Business Customers at Vodafone in European markets and Germany. Vodafone is focusing specifically on future technologies in order to strengthen its business customer segment in the coming years. Skaylink will complete Vodafone’s cloud service portfolio with a key component in the strategic shift toward new cloud technologies. With 500 additional cloud- and security experts on board, Vodafone’s business customers will benefit from closer and more comprehensive support in implementing and operating their cloud infrastructure.
Over 65% of Skaylink’s revenue comes from the german Market
Skaylink is one of the leading full-service providers for cloud solutions in Germany and Europe. The company has recorded strong growth rates in recent months. With central offices in Germany and other European markets, the global team of over 500 cloud experts supports companies in their cloud transformation.
